The Bible: Socialist Manifesto! (Shhh...don't tell the conservative right.)

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. Acts 4: 32-35

Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet. Acts 5: 1-2  
Both Ananias and Sapphira dropped dead directly because they held back money for themselves. Acts 5: 3-10

Safe to say that most Christians of means choose to ignore this passage.

Jesus: pinko socialist or opportunistic capitalist?

Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Mark 10:21

Is Jesus looking out for the poor or giving investment advice? It might be helpful to have a prospectus for the "heaven treasure," in order to make a better determination.

God sounds like a Socialist.

If you sell land to any of your own people or buy land from them, do not take advantage of each other. You are to buy from your own people on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. And they are to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvesting crops. Leviticus 25:14-15

Not to pigeonhole God as a socialist, the following verses list a litany of real estate law that could label God as anything from a capitalist to a communist. Perhaps the relevant factor here is why an omniscience creator so resembles a real estate attorney.
